When we repeat a behavior for a long time, it eventually becomes a habit. A habit is partially subconscious, because we no longer pay as much attention to our behaviors when producing them. For example, when we drive along a same road too many times, we no longer need to pay as much attention to the road. Sometimes, we even get to our destinations without even having realized that we were driving.
